Services of PCB Design

In addition to turnkey design, Zebulon Solutions also offers discrete design services to customers who are designing their own electronics. These services include capturing the schematic, generating and optimizing Bill of Materials (BOMs), laying out the physical PCB, and reviewing the final PCB layout for manufacturability, test and the like.  We can do all, some or just any one of these services on a given board—for example we may just do a DFx analysis or we may do schematic capture, BOM generation and PCB layout in sequence

Zebulon Solutions provides PCB layout and related design services

DFx Analysis

· Zebulon Solutions provides two levels of board level DFx analysis

· Extensive DFx checklists to help identify areas that need a closer look

· Graybeard analysis—senior engineers who have been there / done that to carefully but quickly review new designs for issue

· Zebulon Solutions does not currently provide CAD based design rule checking (DRC) ala Valor but can recommend third parties if desired.

Schematic Capture

· Zebulon Solutions utilizes CadSoft’s Eagle schematic capture tools

· Schematics can be outputted in native and pdf forms

· Raw BOMs and net lists can also be provided

BOM Generation

· Generate and format proper manufacturing BOMs

· Reformat raw BOMs—e.g. from schematic capture tools such as Eagle—to include all necessary fields for building a supply chain

· Review existing BOMs for valid part numbers, EOL issues, multiple sources etc

PCB Layout

· Zebulon Solutions utilizes CadSoft’s Eagle PCB layout

· Gerbers and full documentation packages for assembly and fabrication can be provided

· PCB layout is tightly coupled to schematic files to minimize risk of error

· Zebulon Solutions provides concurrent board level DFM as we do the layout
